
Dr. Raquel Kirmse is a clinical neuropsychologist with extensive training in neurocognitive disorders and child development. She is lifespan trained and specializes in assessing individuals from early childhood to young adulthood. During her fellowship at Children’s Health in Dallas, she focused on early childhood diagnostic assessment for children aged 0 to 5, as well as older children and adolescents with various medical conditions affecting their brains and behavior. She also completed specialized fellowship training at UTSW, focusing on acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and medically complex populations.
Dr. Kirmse is bilingual (Spanish) and can evaluate neurocognitive and psychosocial functioning for both English- and Spanish-speaking children and adolescents. Before becoming a neuropsychologist, she taught intermediate and advanced math courses at the high school level. Her diverse experience has given her a unique understanding of how learning disorders and medical conditions can impact students’ abilities in the classroom. Dr. Kirmse enjoys working with children and adolescents of all ages.
